Mr Ko believes in constantly seeking the best possible ways in construction. Having built over 100 buildings in Hong Kong throughout his 30 years in the construction industry, he derives immense satisfaction from seeing good quality buildings, structures and landscape works completed and appreciated.
Mr Ko returned to Hong Kong in 1969 after his studies in Japan and began his career in the construction industry. In 1997 he set up the Hong Kong Construction Group which now consists of four divisions, each catering to a specialised business sector.
WILLIAM LOUEY LAI-KUEN

Mr Louey believes in utilising technologies to provide a better, healthier and more aesthetically pleasant living environment for the Hong Kong community. He returned to Hong Kong from the United Kingdom having worked for an international merchant bank for five years and a global accounting firm for three years. In 1995 he set up the William S D Louey Education Foundation in memory of his grandfather to finance outstanding students from China and Hong Kong to further their education abroad. He is currently setting up a number of technology research funds with local universities for the development of slope safety and landscape technologies.

Mr Ko joined the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor since 1973. With more than 30 years of solid experience in construction field, Mr Ko earned a reputation for successful project administration in contracting/tendering and efficiency in problem solving. His ability to resolve conflicts during the construction process was aided by excellent listening skills with business savvy and technical expertise. His skills for negotiating “Win Win” results, avoiding and resolving disputes and claims are superior. Confidence and knowledge of Mr Ko is an indispensable asset that enables him to effectively provide expert direction and consultation to ensure success to the Company.
LAWRENCE MAK CHUN-CHUEN

Mr Mak has over 20 years of experience in the spheres of quantity surveying, building construction, fitting out works, renovation works and contracts management. Previously handled projects include residential properties, industrial and commercial buildings as well as heavy industrial plants and warehouses.
Since joining Hong Kong Construction Group in 1999, Mr Mak has been in charge of all building and decoration projects. He is also well versed in electronic commerce, business administration and arbitration, disciplines which are a welcome addition to the engineering practice.
